We are pleased to share a noteworthy update from our research team: our manuscript examining sRNA changes in response to SARS-CoV-2 infection has been accepted for publication in Nature NPJ Systems Biology. This milestone marks Julia Corell’s first-authored article, signifying an important achievement in her academic career.
Julia’s paper sheds light on how our bodies respond at the molecular level to SARS-CoV-2, potentially offering valuable insights for future research and medical interventions. The differential expression of host-derived sncRNAs, including miRNAs and tsRNAs, particularly in patients with severe symptoms, suggests their potential as biomarkers for disease severity prediction. While we eagerly await its publication, let’s recognize the significance of this endeavor in contributing to the current unknowns.
Congratulations!
